Strategy Intern - Fall

“A problem is a chance for you to do your best.”

— Duke Ellington

About Langrand:

Langrand is an independent brand and innovation agency that fuses strategy, story, data and design to drive deeper customer connections. We partner with leading companies to deliver the solutions, experiences and stories that fuel better outcomes for all.

Our internship program:

Langrand isn’t a typical agency. And our interns aren’t typical interns.

They’re researchers. Writers. Active listeners. Deep thinkers. Creative and curious by nature. Brainstormers with the best ideas and individuals with fresh perspectives, great questions and new solutions. We ask a lot from our interns—to challenge old ways of thinking, deep-dive into complex problems and uncover new ways to win, grow and learn—for the benefit of our agency and our clients. As an intern at Langrand, you’ll work alongside industry professionals and experts as well as benefit from collaboration with fellow interns across the agency in different departments. At Langrand, we’ll never tell you to pick up coffee, order lunch for the group or make copies. But why don’t you get yourself an espresso from the kitchen? It’s free.

Work location:

This is a remote-first hybrid role. You will primarily work from home but are required to come into our studio near the Galleria in Houston, Texas for key, in-person meetings.

While living in or around Houston is preferred, we also welcome students from across the country and can be flexible when it comes to working remotely for the right candidate.

Note: We do not accept international students or students travelling abroad in our internship program. Langrand is an equal opportunity employer. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

  • Support teammates on strategic, creative and research projects
  • Coordinate workflow across teams and departments
  • Bring forward fresh thinking and new ideas to help solve client challenges
  • Research cultural, economic and healthcare landscapes to best understand current and future trends
  • Synthesize findings into actionable insights for teams across departments

We’re looking for the following skills:

  • Ability to perform cursory and deep-dive research in consumer, technology, culture and healthcare landscapes
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • An intrapreneurial drive with a tendency toward innovation and asking (and answering) big questions
  • Understanding of business goals, audience insights and how to think strategically
  • Comfort with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of basic business and marketing concepts
  • Good time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and social abilities
  • Ability to spot emerging trends and speak to them
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
